An international, interdisciplinary research group in topics related to the administration and sustenance of the Catholic Church. Our intention is to encourage and, whenever possible, coordinate research efforts on the subject.
We will try to approach the question from the theological and canonical viewpoint not forgetting the essential economic-financial aspects, or the sociological and communicative perspectives. As a result of all of this, we maintain a pastoral viewpoint.
The group is comprised of university professors and experts in the matter, both from the scientific and practical viewpoints.
The focal point of the North-American ecclesiastic experience, associated with sustenance and administration, is the concept of “stewardship”. The initiative arises from the attempt to adapt this knowledge and these practices in the European reality. In the first five years of the Group (2011-2016) they have been defended 11 PhD theses and published over a hundred of works between books, articles in reviews, manuals, references for dictionaries or other participations in collective works.
